OCEANERA-NET COFUND Joint Calls

The Second Joint Call for trans-national research and demonstration projects is now closed.

Results of the call and information on new projects will be published soon.

OCEANERA-NET COFUND will not be running any further calls - look out for future activity under the Horizon Europe programme 

Funding

Funding is available to applicants in the following countries / regions:

  • Flanders, Belgium
  • Ireland
  • Pays de la Loire, France
  • Portugal
  • Scotland, UK
  • Spain
  • Sweden

Indicative funding pot 6.8m Euro.

Second Joint Call Key Dates

The key dates for the call are:
  • Call Opens - 8th January 2019
  • Expressions of Interest - 1 March 2019
  • Proposal Deadline - 5 April 2019
  • Notification of applicants - October 2019
  • Project start - from November 2019

Expressions of Interest can be submitted any time until 1st March. Feedback will be provided within 2 weeks. On receipt of positive feedback, you can proceed with preparation of the full Proposal.

Call Topics

The six call topics are:

  1. Ocean Energy Devices
  2. Components and Subsystems
  3. Grid Connection and Power Systems
  4. Materials and Structures
  5. Installation, Operations and Maintenance
  6. Resource and Impact

Projects are expected to progress technologies from TRL 3 to 6 to TRL 4 to 8.

Projects must involve at least 2 eligible, independent partners from 2 different countries.

Projects should be industry-led.
